Sheila Collins, owner, uses her change management and coaching expertise to address the impact of eldercare challenges on families and businesses. She has a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University; her studies there included the Hopkins Fellows in Change Management program. She completed a coach certification training program accredited by the International Coach Federation. Sheila also holds a Master of Arts degree in Spirituality. Sheila is a Certified Care Manager (by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers), a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® and a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, and a certified member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. Sheila earned the Qualified Dementia Care Provider and Qualified Dementia Care Specialist designations from the Dementia Care Professionals of America, a division of the Alzheimer's Federation of America. She was Director of Organizational Effectiveness at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and has worked with many health and home care organizations as a consultant. Her primary client service role in Caring Strategies is coaching caregivers and families of seniors as they work through plans and decisions concerning the care of aging loved ones. Sheila also works with businesses, bringing them innovative and strategic approaches that support their employees who are family caregivers while strengthening their recruitment, retention, and employee engagement efforts.

Caring Strategies was founded in October 2007 by sisters Kate Jones and Sheila Collins to meet the needs of families struggling with how to care for aging loved ones.
Jeanie Moores Tauss is a licensed clinical social worker and certified care manager with over twelve years of experience. She received her masters degrees in gerontology and social work from the University of Southern California, having earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. Her career focus has been to provide services to older adults to help them maintain their independence and achieve the highest quality of life possible. She has a special expertise in assisting persons with memory loss and their families, and led a support group for recently diagnosed dementia patients for ten years. Jeanie's past experience includes work in geropsych, dementia clinics, hospital seniors’ programs and adult day programs as well as private practice. She grew up in Decatur and recently returned to Alabama after living on the west coast.
